Scope of Canadian Immigration from Qatar

Canada will target about 1.45 million new immigrants or higher in a phased manner over the next three years ending in 2025.

Out of it, nearly 800,000 new permanent residents are expected to come from economic-class immigration programs like Express Entry, Provincial Nominee Programs, or the Quebec program. Another major proportion of the target will be met using family reunification programs.

    • Arrange Medical and PCC certificates,
    • Other demographic and basic documents required for the process.

Migrants in Canada from Qatar may sponsor their immediate family to live, study, or work in the country if they meet the minimum necessary income (MNI).

    Temporary Visa Categories in Canada

Having Canadian work or study experience can also help open the doors to more Canadian immigration pathways.

    A. Canada Work Visa

Canada categorizes various work permit programs into two broad types:

    • Temporary Foreign Worker Program (TFWP): Your Canadian employer must secure a positive or neutral Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) before sponsoring your work permit in Canada.
    • International Mobility Program (IMP): An LMIA is not required because the work being done is considered of significant benefit to Canada or part of a reciprocal agreement. Most foreign workers come to Canada under the IMP.

Through LMIA Canada, the government balances the welfare of existing & foreign workers in the country. It ensures that the hiring of foreign workers shall not displace them or lower their wages.

There are more than 100 work permit options within these two categories. Contact our immigration counselors (please link) to help you suggest the most suitable one depending on your profile.

    B. Canada Study Permit

The present Canadian immigration policy allows foreign graduates to qualify for Canada Permanent Residency (PR) in minimum time on basis of their full-time work experience. You too can qualify for permanent residency by planning your higher studies in Canada.

    • Attain Canadian education from a Designated Learning Institution (DLI).
    • Obtain a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) and gain full-time work experience in Canada.
    • Qualify for the Canada Experience Class program.
    • Register your Express Entry profile and wait for ITA for Canada PR.
